February 22, 2025 (following the official publication of the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated February 17, 2025, No. 62-Z), changes came into effect regarding the regulation of payments (monetary obligations) under lease agreements.

The new lease requirements affected a very wide range of highly demanded and widespread relations, gave rise to a lot of applied questions, the answers to which are based on interpretation. We, as legal consultants, expressed our point of view on some of them and are open to discussion.

Important! On July 12, 2024, amendments to the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Advertising" will come into effect. According to these amendments, as a general rule, only advertising distributors included in the Register of Advertising Distributors are authorized to provide advertising placement (distribution) services, including Online.

On January 10, 2024, Law No. 347-Z of January 5, 2024 was published, which extended the moratorium on linking rent to the equivalent of a certain amount in foreign currency until January 1, 2025.

Important: Additionally, there is a ban on setting rent in conventional (account) monetary units (“special drawing rights”, etc.).
